Around 700 guests gathered at the Columbus Zoo June 2 for Discover the Dream, the region’s largest fundraiser to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event featured cocktails, dinner, raffles, entertainment and silent and live auction packages that included trips to Jack Hanna’s Montana home and to New York to attend the Heisman Trophy presentation. Hanna, whose daughter Julie was a St. Jude patient beginning at age 2, was the guest speaker. Tickets were $150, and more than $410,000 was raised.
