Recreation Unlimited held its seventh annual Sports Gala June 16 at the Ohio Union. More than 330 guests enjoyed OSU men's basketball head coach Thad Matta’s keynote speech, entertainment by the Rick Brunetto Big Band and SNAP! Performance Productions, a cash raffle and live and silent auctions for items such as game tickets and trips. The Ohio Union catering team provided a full-course meal, complete with Ohio State-decorated cakes. The event raised nearly $170,000 to benefit Recreation Unlimited’s camps and camper scholarship fund. Tickets were $100 and corporate table sponsorships were $2,500.
