On Sept. 16, 300 people gathered at the Shoe to enjoy a private performance by the OSU Marching Band as part of a fundraiser for the Gladden Community House. Sponsors and their guests were invited to a private reception with band director Jon Woods and his staff to tour the Steinbrenner Band Facility, followed by a slide show in the practice hall. Guests then marched around the Shoe to band cadence and had dinner at the Huntington Club. A silent auction was held during dinner, followed by a private, full half-time performance. Funds from the event, which total $49,000 to date, go directly to support education and health and human services programs provided at Gladden. Tickets were $150. (Photos and IDs courtesy Gladden.)
