Bridge Builders 2010 introduced the Center for Healthy Families to the Greater Columbus community Oct. 12. The event, held at the Lincoln Theatre, featured a conversation with acclaimed author and poet Sapphire, whose novel Push was the inspiration for the 2009 film Precious. More than 325 people attended, raising $145,000 for the Center for Healthy Families, a nonprofit that empowers pregnant and parenting teens. Tickets were $20, VIP tickets $100.
