The 2010 State of the Child Luncheon was held May 4 at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom and was attended by 480 people. Nationwide and American Electric Power were the title sponsors of the event, which featured young speakers sharing their stories of hopelessness, bullying and parents who were struggling to provide for their children. More than $150,000 was raised for clinical, education and prevention programs provided by Directions for Youth & Families. Tickets were $50.
