Four hundred people attended the first annual Great Futures Start Here benefit dinner for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbus at the Columbus Athenaeum April 6. Guests were treated to a panel discussion featuring Gordon Gee, Thad Matta, Jordan Miller, Gene Smith and Jim Tressel. In addition, Roxanne Spillett, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, delivered the keynote address. The benefit raised nearly $175,000 to benefit the city’s most at-risk youth. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbus provide after-school programs including tutoring, recreation and overall character building assistance. Tickets were $100 & $250.
