Latitude adjustment brings new chef, new ideas

Latitude 41 has a new head chef with Columbus connections. Adam Cobb has joined the Downtown restaurant inside the Renaissance Hotel, 50 N. Third St. He previously worked at the Glasshalfull, a farm-to-table-focused restaurant near Chapel Hill, N.C., and multiple Michelin-starred kitchens, including a year-long apprenticeship in Spain.

“I’ve got pages and pages of ideas for the restaurant,” Cobb says, such as pairing up with more local farmers and doing whole-animal butchery. “It’s a great space, and Columbus has a cool, emerging food scene.”

And though he’s a Carolina native, his wife, Meg, isn’t—she formerly worked at Pistachio bakery in the Short North before they met as students at the Culinary Institute of America.
