On Feb. 11, 178 people came out to support Those Picked Last through its Affair of the Heart event. Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, raffles and entertainment by musical guest MoJoFlo. Other special guests included founder Jacqueline Downey and her son, MacGregor; artist Terry Kearns, and state Sen.Charleta Taveras. Those Picked Last Foundation was created to help combat and raise awareness about childhood and adolescent obesity. Tickets were $200 per couple or $875 for a 10-person table; proceeds from ticket sales and raffles will help Those Picked Last in its goal of raising awareness about childhood obesity and providing support for affected families.
