Accessibility meets safe community and strong schools

Grandview Heights would be a quintessential small town, if it weren’t for its proximity to a big city. Nestled just four miles west of Downtown Columbus, Grandview Heights offers the best of both worlds: a tight-knit community feel, where residents walk to get their morning coffee and stop to greet neighbors along the way, and the accessibility of Downtown, the Arena District and the Short North. Its highly ranked school system is made up of just one elementary, middle and high school and its low crime rates are comparable to those of suburbs far outside city limits. This unique combination is what draws homebuyers to the area and keeps property values high. “In Grandview, your highest cost is the cost of the land,” says local real estate agent Ria Bell. That’s why some homeowners have found value in refurbishing houses. “[Grandview] homes maintain their value across the board.” The market for selling is strong, though many people who move to Grandview never choose to leave.
