The première of happythankyoumoreplease, directed by Jesse Hara and produced by Josh Radnor, both of Bexley, took place Sept. 1 at an event that launched Friends of the Drexel, a new nonprofit organization supporting the Drexel Theatre. More than 400 people attended the viewing and enjoyed performances by singer Jaymay and Hoo Doo Soul Band at a backlot party after the movie. More than $100,000 was raised to support Drexel programming, marketing and operations. Tickets started at $125.
