As the New England Patriots prepare to take on the New York Giants in the Super Bowl this weekend, former Pats, including Buckeye defensive line coach Mike Vrabel, look back on their time playing in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Vrabel, who played football for Ohio State in the 1990s before being drafted into the NFL, fondly recalls in an ESPN article the often demeaning form of motivation he and teammates withstood from New England coach Bill Belichick in the locker room. Vrabel, who played with the Patriots from 2001 to 2008, says Belichick frequently humiliated players who underperformed during games in order to get them to avoid making the same mistakes in the future.
