With its breathtakingly beautiful setting and an abundance of food and wine to delight the senses, Columbus' premier tasting event is aptly described as an "affair."
The eighth annual Food & Wine Affair's Grand Tasting draws hundreds of people to the Franklin Park Conservatory and features 300 types of wine and food from more than 35 of the area's premier restaurants. "The community has embraced it," said David Miller, executive vice president of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and an event founder. "And it's just that--it's a community event."
Also, new this year: If you miss the evening--or just want to relive it--several local restaurants will offer menus and pairings from the tasting during the week following the event.
The Food & Wine Affair's Grand Tasting is Friday from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Franklin Park Conservatory, 1777 E. Broad St. Tickets cost $125. For information, visit FoodAndWineAffair.com. --Brittany Kress
