The Macy's at Easton Town Center will debut its new Haitian Artisan Collection during a special event planned for 6 p.m. Thursday in the second-floor housewares department.

Sales of the handmade home decor products, all inspired by traditional Haitian culture, will bring both trade and aid to earth-quake devastated country. Each item in the collection filled with vibrant colors is designed by master Haitian artists exclusively for Macy's and reflects their creativity.

"It is truly devastating to see the ongoing impact of the earthquake in Haiti," Macy's CEO Terry J. Lundgren said in a news release. "While we, along with many others, responded immediately with giving, we also quickly identified an opportunity to help in a more lasting way."

The Haiti Artisan Collection is available in 25 Macy's stores nationwide and at www.macys.com. The company's Easton store is only one in Ohio selling the collection.
