Today is National Wear Red Day. It's part of the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women movement, a project created to raise awareness about women and heart disease. It kills nearly half a million American women every year, which means we need to take better care of ourselves. Go to your yoga class; make time for that run; spend the extra money on fresh fruit. Not to be dramatic (actually, yes, to be dramatic), but your life could depend on it.
As part of the movement, customers who wear red to any Macy's department store through Sunday will receive a 20-percent discount on a wide range of merchandise. Macy's is also selling exclusive Go Red merchandise, including an INC dress designed by Season Six Project Runway winner Irina Shabayeva. And a bonus: I've got one of Irina's dresses (they're $99, and this one is a medium) to give away. Interested in entering a drawing for it? Click here. --Kristy Eckert
