Congratulations to American Electric Power on its recent award for encouraging the corporate advancement of women. The National Association for Female Executives just announced its 2011 Top 50 Companies for Executive Women, and AEP was the sole Columbus company on the list.
One other Ohio company made the cut: Cincinnati-based Proctor & Gamble, who was named among the ten best. The Top Ten (in alphabetical order) include Abbott (Abbott Park, Ill.), American Express Company (New York, N.Y.), Bank of America (Charlotte, N.C.), General Mills (Minneapolis, Minn.), IBM (Armonk, N.Y.), KPMG (New York, N.Y.), Kraft (Northfield, Ill.), Marriott International Inc. (Bethesda, Md.), Procter & Gamble Company and Prudential Financial Inc. (Newark, N.J.). -Kristy Eckert
