Lucky passersby in Times Square in New York City lived the model life for a few glamorous minutes on Saturday as Express opened its outdoor catwalk to the public. The plan was to help Columbus-based Express break the Guinness World Record for most people to saunter down a catwalk. It took less than three hours for 1,243 eager volunteers to blow past the previous record of 521 amateur models. Plus, record-breakers even got a quick catwalk lesson from renowned runway manager Susan Schroder before strutting their stuff in front of New York onlookers. And as if that wasn't enough, walkers also received a few other free goodies such as T-shirts, professional photos to share on Facebook and Twitter, and Express gift cards. That evening Express unveiled its holiday 2011 collection on the same stage with a live runway show.
