Get ready! The last Columbus Flea of the season is coming on Oct. 9. After all my great finds purchased at the Summer Flea (namely an adorable pair of vintage turquoise earrings from a local designer and a Homage tee more than half off), the final Flea of the season may just become a seasonal staple in my shopping repertoire. Stop by for a solid lineup of roughly 40 vendors, boutiques and designers selling a range of goods from records to vintage T's, art and other home decor items to bikes and parts. Find the Fall Flea from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fireproof Storage parking lot on the corner of Second and High streets in the Short North. The spring and summer Flea drew more than 1,500 curious shoppers, so get there early. Just come hungry because there will be even more local eats this time to sample while browsing booths, including Freedom a la Cart, Clever Crow Pizza, The Cheesy Truck, Jeni's Ice Cream and Yeah Me Too Coffee. And don't forget to come with something to feed the hungry-be it a canned good or donation for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. The free event benefits this local nonprofit and has raised nearly $3,000 for the food bank. -Beth Stallings
