Shoe lovers are uniting May 3 to celebrate and honor a late Columbus woman with a fashion show and party that will benefit women in need. Dress for Success Columbus and Zusman Hospice at Wexner Heritage Village are partnering for In Christy's Shoes, an annual fundraiser. The event is held in honor of Christy Levy Peters, who died of brain cancer at the age of 34. Because Christy loved shoes, the benefit raises money to provide footwear and clothing to less advantaged women. The 2012 High Hopes in High Heels evening is at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center at 6:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy cocktails, a silent auction and a fashion show featuring shoes from Ryan Haber (whose footwear has been seen on Carrie Underwood). Tickets begin at $50, and more information can be found at InChristysShoes.com. –Heather Weekley
