Celebrate makeup, skincare and fragrance during Saks Fifth Avenue's Beauty Week.

Celebrate makeup, skincare and fragrance during Saks Fifth Avenue's Beauty Week. The Polaris store will host the event from Feb. 21 to March 2. "It's a 10-day period where we talk about trends, what's happening at Saks and what we are focusing on," says Suzanne Sproule, beauty manager at Saks. "We like to tell our story about the spring season." If you're unfamiliar with Beauty Week, here are some of the highlights:

Spend $100 or more in the beauty or fragrance department, and receive a fun gift. It's a hobo-style bag (you have your choice of three colors) filled with goodies like samples of Marni and Florabotanica fragrances. You'll also find two great coupons: $20 off a $100 Spanx purchase, and $50 off a sunglasses purchase. The store will host special Saturday trend events. From 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, March 2, visit the store before it opens to learn about beauty trends from vendors and other guest speakers. "It's an informal setting and a lot of fun," Sproule says. Registration is $25, which can be redeemed in merchandise following the event. Call the beauty department to register. There are also afternoon events on both Saturdays from 2-3:30 p.m. You'll hear from Columbus Fashion Week leader Tommy McClure and news anchor Yolanda Harris. Take advantage of Saks' two spa rooms, available for private skincare services and facials. "We offer this every day, all year long," Sproule says. Call any time to make an appointment, or sign up for the master classes and spa events held from Feb. 25-29. Use your Saks card to make purchases during the February and give back during Charity Month. Learn more here. Two fragrance lines to note are Creed (made by seven generations of the Creed family since the 1700s) and Bond No. 9 New York (developed in 2003, all of the line's fragrances are named after areas in New York. Think Wall Street, Little Italy and Central Park). Also recently released is Marni, which features rosewood and spice undertones.
