Vacationing is one of my favorite things to do, but packing is my least favorite. I'm a last-minute packer. And because of that, I end up with few items. This is a good thing-more space to bring back treasures I find on my travels!
Fortunately, my brother will be studying abroad this summer in Nantes, France. Who better to tag along than his loving sister (wink)? So when I was putting together this blog, I was really imagining what I'll be taking to France with me.
1. Cynthia Rowley Saffiano leather tote (TJ Maxx, $80, similar here)
One, I adore the color of this bag. It's super roomy and brightens up any ensemble. A roomy tote is essential for the plane and as you're walking about, taking in all the little shops.
2. Tory Burch sandals (Nordstrom, $190. Older style but similar here)
Chic, well-made and comfortable to boot!
3. Round sunnies (eBay, $10)
Sunglasses are a must-have to protect against the sun… and of course, for that element of cool.
4. Maxi Dress (Pink Polkadot, $90. Purchased at a boutique in NC last year, but you can find them here)
I love maxi dresses for their comfort factor. No fuss-just put it on and go! Dress it down for day with my Tory Burch sandals; dress it up for night with some heels.
5. Funky earrings (Macy's, $20. Similar here)
When I travel, I don't take a lot of jewelry with me, so I need a piece that makes a statement. These do the trick!
6, 7 & 8
A "going out" dress, a clutch for my essentials and danceable heels (Dress H&M, $12. Purchased last year. Vintage eel skin clutch, Etsy, $30. Heels, Banana Republic, $100. Similar here)
I always make sure I have an evening look. This works for a nice dinner or a night out on the town.
9 & 10
For the pool/beach (Swimsuit, Calvin Klein, $125. Similar here. Scarf, Hermes, $410. Similar here.)
I love a bikini, but right now I'm having a one-piece moment. My Hermes scarf is a must-to tie my hair back after a swim.
