See his latest collection at the Downtown show

Nary Manivong-a homeless Columbus teen-turned-fashion-designer-is returning from New York to headline CMH Fashion Week's finale runway show Oct. 12. Manivong, a young star in the New York fashion community who was featured in the documentary Dressed, made headlines by teaming with Ali Hilfiger to create the celebrated line NAHM. (I had the privilege of seeing three of their New York Fashion Week shows; Manivong wore an Ohio State T-shirt at each. Love that!)

Now, he's on his own, and will unveil his new Nary Manivong collection at the Downtown show. His women's wear is upscale-for the confident, sexy woman who exists (albeit beautifully) in the real world. For show tickets and more information, visit CMHFashionWeek.com.

Here's a profile we did on the designer in 2011.
