CMH Fashion Week: Meet the Designers
Name: Marquis L. Engle of Popular Culture
Residence: The sun is where my mind stays but my body resides in Italian Village.
Credentials: I am enrolled in the school of LIFE, I work for myself and I am only interested in future shows not the past.
My Story: I am a lover, creative, artist, son, friend and brother. My life is a complexity of trials and tribulations that have prepared me for my destiny. Everything works for the GOOD of the KINGDOM!
Personal Style: My style is Forever EVOLVING.
Style icon: Lenny Kravits is a style GOD!
Favorite designers: Alexander Wang, Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Marc Jacobs and Karl Lagerfeld.
3 pieces in your closet right now: SHOES, JACKETS, HATS!
True style is… one that is ALL YOUR OWN. You do not have to be told to wear it… You just do because it's YOU.
Describe this collection: This collection is BAD ASS. It is inspired by Marvel Comic book Heroes. I love their strength, their confidence, their will to help and don't give a shit attitude. We all have a hero in us.
Are items for sale?: Well DUH! Some items are priced at $75 and some at $600.
Custom work: I do work on custom pieces; however, I require the artistic license and creative direction. I mean after all you wouldn't tell Picasso to paint the way you wanted, it wouldn't be a Picasso then. I start at $100, and it ranges from there.
