The CCAD senior has been awarded the inagural CMH Fashion Week scholarship

Capital Style is proud to have partnered with CMH Fashion Week and Saks Fifth Avenue to fund the inaugural CMH Fashion Week scholarship, which is being awarded today to Columbus College of Art & Design senior Ryun Harrison. The $2,500 scholarship was awarded to Harrison for his talent, work and potential. "It's an affirmation of what I've spent three years working toward," Harrison said in a news release. "This scholarship is not only an honor, but a way to fully realize a vision I've had for quite some time." The scholarship will be awarded to Harrison today during the Philanthropy Meets Fashion event at CCAD and featuring CMH Fashion Week headline designer Nary Manivong. In addition to the scholarship award, Harrison will present his designs during the final CMH Fashion Week runway show October 12. "His look is fashion forward, which is really the direction of CMH Fashion Week," noted CCAD Chair of Fashion Design Suzanne Cotton in the release. "Ryun has always exceeded expectations. Whatever he's been asked to do, he does more." Congratulations, Ryun! -Kristy Eckert, @kristyeckert
