The Columbus Museum of Art recently broke ground on a building expansion

The Columbus Museum of Art recently broke ground on a building expansion, and we got a sneak peek at the construction. The new wing, which is set to debut in the fall of 2015, will add roughly 50,000 square feet onto the building and includes more gallery space, a new shop and café, and additional event space. "We hope that the new wing will bring us a greater presence on Broad Street," says Nancy Colvin, marketing and communications manager at the Museum. And don't worry: You can still visit during the construction. "They've done a beautiful job of making sure everything is sealed off," Colvin says. "When in the building, the construction doesn't impact your visit."
