Snag local art, pottery and clothing for the holidays
A great place to pick up local gifts for your loved ones? Try the Ohio Craft Museum, which will open its annual "Gifts of the Craftsman" exhibit this Sunday, Nov. 10.
The exhibit/sale will offer handmade art, from pottery to baskets and clothing, through Dec. 23. Items range in price from $4 to several hundred dollars.
The museum is also offering extended Sunday hours this year: noon to 4 p.m. And you'll have the opportunity make your own gifts alongside local artists throughout the exhibit.
Ginger Seiple, a Columbus-based jewelry maker, will lead the "CraftView: Copper Jewelry" workshop on opening day from 1 to 3 p.m. For $17, attendees can craft their own copper earrings and pendants. Call (614) 486-4402 to reserve your spot.
The museum is also offering workshops specifically for children. Call (614) 486-4402 for more info.
