Snack, sip and shop at the market's festive event

If you're setting aside some time to shop this weekend, stop by North Market for its Holiday Marketfare.

You'll get a chance to sample some treats from the market's many vendors (here's hoping Taste of Belgium has some warm waffles for snacking), and the second floor will be home to demonstrations from Omega Artisan Baking, CaJohn's Flavor and Fire, Brezel (learn how to roll a prezel!) and Bluescreek Farm Meats.

The market will also have plenty of giftable items from local artists-from jewelry to bath and body products and knitwear, as well as live music.

The Holiday Marketfare is on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 8, from noon to 5 p.m.

Be one of the first 100 in the door and get a free North Market poster. Bring along a canned good and get a special gift.
