Here are my brood's favorite three party dips-simple and delicious recipes thoughtfully shared by family and friends through the years.

The NCAA basketball tournament is here, and with a house full of basketball fans (myself included), there are few things we enjoy more than a tasty party dip. Here are my brood's favorite three -- simple and delicious recipes thoughtfully shared by family and friends through the years. Enjoy

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Ingredients:

Chicken breast (2 pounds) Cream cheese (8 oz.) Ranch dressing (16 oz.) Red Hot sauce (6 oz.) Shredded cheddar cheese (one or two handfuls)

Instructions:

Boil chicken, then either slice into small pieces or shred; set aside. In a separate, large bowl, soften cream cheese in microwave, then stir in ranch dressing and Red Hot until smooth. (Note: Depending on your affinity for spice, you may want more or less Red Hot. This is a somewhat average amount.) Stir chicken into mixture, then pour into 9" x 13" baking pan. Sprinkle cheese evenly on top. Cover with foil. Bake at 350-degrees for 20 minutes. Serve hot with tortilla chips.

Five Layer Taco Dip

Ingredients:

Refried beans (12 oz.) Marzetti's guacamole (1 container) Sour cream (16 oz.) Taco seasoning (1 packet) Salsa (12 oz.) Shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz.)

Instructions: Spread refried beans across bottom of 9" x 13" baking dish. Layer guacamole onto beans. In a separate bowl, stir taco seasoning into sour cream; layer atop guacamole. (Note: If you like spice, consider using hot taco seasoning, which adds a nice kick.) Pour salsa onto sour cream mix. Finally, sprinkle cheese on top. Refrigerate and serve chilled, with tortilla chips.

Mexican Delight Dip

Ingredients:

Ground beef (1 pound) Water (1 cup) Taco seasoning (1 packet) Cream cheese (8 oz.) Salsa (12 oz.) Shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz.)

Spread hamburger mix onto cream cheese. Pour salsa atop hamburger. Sprinkle cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake at 350-degrees for 20 minutes. Serve hot with tortilla chips.
