Local fur importer Minka's Furs is hosting a fashion show to help the girls affected by human trafficking.

Human trafficking-kidnapping and selling girls for sex-is an almost unbelievable epidemic, even in Columbus. This fall, local fur importer Minka's Furs is hosting a fashion show to help the girls affected. Fashion for Freedom is an event that will showcase fashion-forward furs while raising money for Gracehaven House, a local nonprofit that assists trafficked young women. The furs that walk the runway at Scioto Reserve Country Club on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. will be on sale after the show (prices start around $100). Half the $65 ticket price, all of the money raised by auctioning five furs, and a quarter of the price of each fur sold at the event will benefit Gracehaven.
