About 40 Columbus-area cancer survivors will headline a feel-good event at Saks Fifth Avenue this fall to raise money and awareness for cancer. Key to the Cure, a charity shopping weekend at the Polaris Fashion Place department store, kicks off Oct. 17 with an evening soiree. At the event, survivors will share how they celebrate their spirit, and then each will honor a personal hero. Guests can expect to be inspired, nibble hors d'oeuvres and (of course) shop. The retail fun continues through Oct. 21, as a portion of every purchase made at Saks during that time will benefit the Heather Pick Spirit Fund of the Columbus Cancer Clinic. The fund, which memorializes late Columbus 10TV anchor Heather Pick, helps locals with cancer-related expenses.

Tickets to the Key to the Cure kickoff event cost $75 and are available at Saks Fifth Avenue. A limited-edition Caroline Herrera Key to the Cure T-shirt, shown here, is available at the store starting Oct. 1, and the entire $35 purchase price goes directly to the Heather Pick Spirit Fund. Jimmy Choo pumps also available at Saks for $795.
