Grab the girls and follow our guide to a great evening

Historic Downtown Worthington offers more than a stellar farmers market. Consider gathering the girls, heading there on a Thursday, and making a night of it. Here's how.

Relax
If you're able to make it there by 4:30 p.m., kick off your evening with some pampering at Elli Nail Spa, which can accommodate up to five guests at once with advance reservations. The 50-minute "quick to indulge" mani-pedi package for $48 should start you on the right (prettily polished) foot.

Create
Around 5:30 p.m., head to neighboring shop The Candle Lab to create your own custom candle. Peruse more than 120 fragrances, choose which you would like to mix, and then pour your soy-based wax candle for $15 to $30. Just be sure to call ahead if your group is larger than five.

Sip
While your candles set, walk next door at 6 p.m. for House Wine's Thursday Night Tasting. The no-reservations-required event includes cheese, flatbread and wine sampling for $15 a person. The wine theme changes from week to week, showcasing anything from seasonal suggestions to staff favorites.

Dine
Stroll across the street around 7 p.m. for dinner at one of Central Ohio's most storied restaurants-the Worthington Inn. Indulge in a classic delicacy like beef shortrib or ravioli with butternut squash and goat cheese. And be sure to order (or at least share) dessert. Reservations recommended.

Enjoy
Finally, swing over to McConnell Arts Center for its popular Thursday Night Concert Series. Different acts-from woodwind ensembles to bluegrass bands-perform on the first and third Thursdays of each month. Concerts are from 8 to 10 p.m., and tickets cost $8 online or $10 at the door.
