Playing Detective

By
From the February 2014 edition

During the creation of The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes, designers worked with The Conan Doyle Estate to make the sets as authentic as possible, down to the “VR” (for “Victoria Regina”) bullet holes in the wall of 221B Baker Street. The exhibit, which opens Feb. 8 at COSI, lets wannabe-sleuths examine a “crime scene” and solve a mystery using late Victorian-era forensic tools such as a blood-spatter gun and a footprint machine. Says COSI project manager Josh Kessler: “One of my favorite things about it is that I actually got it wrong the first time going through.” cosi.org
