For those times when you need dessert to come to you, Columbus treat-makers are answering with delivery service.

When Carl Acampado first started delivering his Rogue Bakery cookies, the unthinkable happened—an ice bag leaked in a cooler and drowned his cookies. He learned from “the great cookie flood” and now uses heat-sealed cellophane bags, which also keep the cookies fresh for Sunday deliveries, and sticks to ice packs.

Jim Cushing’s favorite part of his Saturday deliveries is when he rings a doorbell and hears kids inside yelling, “The ice cream man is here!” The owner of Charlotte & Olivia’s Sublime Ice Creams carts around two portable freezers powered by cigarette lighters for deliveries in New Albany, Blacklick, Westerville, Gahanna and Johnstown.
