The Columbus Symphony Orchestra Pops Program has been trying for years to get world-famous ABBA tribute act ABBA The Concert to come to Columbus but, due to mutually tight schedules, it's never worked. Until now.

The group (whose name is the clunky "The Concert: ABBA The Concert A Tribute to ABBA") was founded in Sweden in 1996 and has since performed more than 1,000 shows all over the world. They've been called "the best ABBA since ABBA." At the Valentine's Day show, ABBA The Concert will be backed by the 50-piece Columbus Symphony Orchestra.

"It's an amazing thing when you see a band you want to see with the symphony backing them," says Rich Corsi, vice president of programming at CAPA. "It gives people who may not know about the symphony the chance to hear it." And in this case, they can also hear "Mamma Mia," "S.O.S.," "Take A Chance On Me," "Waterloo," "Dancing Queen" and more. columbussymphony.com
