Stopped into Katalina's Cafe Corner to indulge in some breakfast for lunch (Truffled Egg Sandwich, mmm) and confirmed some exciting news: now I can get breakfast for dinner! Cafe Corner used to be open for dinner, but Katalina's has been concentrating on its early morning business by reducing the hours to 7 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. The new hours are 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Katalina's serves its full menu, including breakfast, all day. This place makes amazing breakfast dishes and amazing sandwiches, and so orders that combine the two, like my Truffled Egg Sandwich, are particularly fantastic. The buttery toasted 9-grain bread is topped with truffle-oil-infused scrambled eggs, melted swiss and sauteed wild mushrooms.

Honestly, everything on the menu is great, and there's usually a great special or two, as well.

Another new find this visit: home-brewed iced teas served in adorable mason jars! The tea comes in flavors like Watermelon, Raspberry and Pomegranate, and costs $2.50 a jar. I didn't spot this stuff until the way out, so I'll have to wait until my next visit to try some. Which, I'm sure, won't be long.
