On almost any given Tuesday, there's a table at Sidebar 122 packed with employees from Ross & Midian, a Downtown law firm just a short walk away. Associates from the firm encourage business partners and friends to join them in this weekly tradition they've dubbed Tapas Tuesday. We stopped by to see why this group of co-workers picked this former Brownstone space that specializes in small plates and classic cocktails as their weekly go-to spot.

What makes you a restaurant regular?

We usually come on Tuesdays and we always sit at the same table. At this point the staff and the bartenders know us well.

Why do you like it so much?

At first it was proximity to the office that made it convenient, but we quickly became friends with the management and staff, and that made us eager to come back the next week. The food and cocktails are unique. This is a place to get a drink and be impressed by it. I usually have a dirty martini with Tito's straight up.

What's the atmosphere like?

Overall, it is just a good, classy joint.

What is your favorite dish?

The swordfish is excellent. But all of their tapas are great, like the mussels and the short-rib flatbread. Every once in a while they'll come up with something totally unexpected but delicious. If you're there, you have to try the drinks. The Cufflinks is a favorite of mine, and the ladies really like the Four Step.

Why do you recommend this restaurant?

The food and drinks are a cut above the rest, and the atmosphere is a good blend between after-work business types and the hipster crowd. It's also great people-watching.
