"What's your favorite restaurant?" It's a question I hear pretty regularly and one I am always happy to answer. And yet, every time it makes me pause. Not because I don't have an answer-but because I have too many.

Like most, I have a favorite for everything-a celebratory night out, happy hour, dinner with friends, cheap eats, brunch. If I'm craving casual fish tacos, it's got to be Local Cantina in Grandview (there's a location in Gahanna, too). I love this little no-fuss, Americanized Mexican bar for its solid beer selection and attentive service. If I'm feeling Cambodian, I'd head to the unassuming Siem Reap across from the Hollywood Casino, for a spicy papaya salad and a hot pot to share.

I'm not saying these are the best spots in the city. But they are restaurants that know exactly who they are and do what they do exceptionally well. So, since we don't always crave a fine dining meal, but still deserve good food and a great experience, we've paired our annual list of the 10 best restaurants in the city (page 76) with a roundup of our favorite weeknight spots ("A Fortnight of Food," page 99).

What are your favorite restaurants? You hear about the places where we're eating every issue-we also want to share your top spots. Just snap shots of dishes, drinks, spaces or specials you love in Columbus and tag your pics on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #cravecbus. We'll pick our favorites and feature them in each issue.

Happy Eating,
