The search for a space is officially over. Central Ohio's first B Spot will open in Gahanna in March.
In May, celebrity chef Michael Symon (pictured here on ABC show "The Chew") announced he was looking to open a Columbus-area location of his burger-centric B Spot restaurant. The search for a space is officially over. Central Ohio's first B Spot will open in the former Johnny Buccelli's space (5091 N. Hamilton Rd.) in Gahanna in early March, says Doug Petkovic, co-owner of Michael Symon Restaurants.
"[Columbus is] a very vibrant market and very similar to Cleveland," Petkovic says. The Cleveland-based gourmet burger chain will offer favorites like the Lola with egg, bacon and pickled red onions and the Porky with pulled pork, bacon slaw and barbecue sauce, as well as brats, salads and shakes. "What we're trying to do is basically create a burger joint with cement walls, wood tables and table booths, graffiti on the walls," he says. "It's very basic." -Emily Thompson
