For one intimate evening, diners at Alana's Food and Wine were treated to classic dishes from the Jai Lai-a former Columbus restaurant rooted in the local dining scene for 63 years. The event was the second in a series of quarterly dinner clubs meant to recreate dishes from shuttered local eateries. Menu items recalled the hearty steakhouse meals diners once enjoyed, including Thee Famous Jai Lai Sesta Salad and the Jai Lai Ice Cream and eclair, plus a few classic cocktails (throwback prices included) to wash it all down. The events benefit the Columbus Historical Society.
