The food truck Cousins Maine Lobster, known for its lobster rolls, launches in Columbus next month. Founded in 2012, the company was featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank” and now operates nationwide. Cousins will celebrate its grand opening on April 27-28 at Pins Mechanical Co., 141 N. 4th St.

Random Precision Brewing Co. opens tomorrow (St. Patrick’s Day) at 2635 W. Dublin-Granville Road in Linworth. The new brewery is the second in Central Ohio to focus solely on sour beers, following Pretentious Barrel House.

Legacy Smokehouse, the Texas-style barbecue food trailer that got its start in Merion Village last year, is about to make some big moves. In addition to opening this month in the Short North Food Hall, owners Brian Jordan, Ty Sells and Chad Smock plan to open a third location this summer—this time a stand-alone restaurant at 3987 Main St. in Hilliard. The Merion Village trailer will reopen for the season on March 30 at 1102 S. High St.

The Short North Food Hall is set to open to the public Thursday, March 22, at 1112 N. High St. Additional vendors have been announced for the space, including Short Grain Sushi (serving hand-rolled sushi) and Vinny’s Pizza (pizza, subs and salads).

A Local Matters Gourmet Gala hosted by Next Level Trainings and Dough Mama’s Perrie Wilkof takes place 6-9 p.m. Sunday at Whetstone Park of Roses in Clintonville. The benefit will feature a silent auction, live music and food from Dough Mama Cafe & Bakery, Pistacia Vera, Hot Chicken Takeover, Ray Ray's Hog Pit and more. One hundred percent of proceeds from the event will go to Local Matters through Next Level Trainings.

Taste of Clintonville returns for a fifth year on Thursday, April 12, at Mozart’s, 4784 N. High St. The event, hosted by Experience Clintonville, showcases neighborhood restaurants, bakeries and other businesses. Presale tickets are $25 per person ($10 for children 12 and under). Tickets at the door will be $30 per person.

The Columbus Food Truck Festival announced its 2018 event dates. The annual celebration of mobile grub takes place 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Aug. 17-18 along the Scioto Mile. The event will feature more than 60 mobile food vendors, family activities, live music and more.
