Plank’s Bier Garten will hold its grand reopening on Sunday, June 17, from noon to 10 p.m. The 50-year-old Brewery District haunt has been closed since a fire damaged the restaurant in December 2016. Plank’s is located at 888 S. High St.
Mad Moon Craft Cidery is hosting a Summer Ciderfest at its taproom at 2134 Britains Lane from 1-10 p.m. Saturday, June 16. The event will feature 10 ciders on tap (including two new releases), a food truck and fresh apple cider.
Si Senor’s Downtown location at 72 E. Lynn St. reopens on Monday, June 18, after a brief hiatus. The popular Peruvian sandwich shop got a new coat of paint, larger menus on the wall, a hand-painted mural and other renovations. The owners’ new Gay Street eatery, Criollo, is still a few weeks away from opening.
The Short North White Castle has reopened in shinier digs and with an expanded menu. Located in Borror Properties’ new Castle development at 965 N. High St., White Castle returns to a location where it has resided since 1968. The refreshed, 24-hour square-burger spot has added Impossible Sliders (a plant-based burger) to the menu as well as beer and wine.
Baba’s (2515 Summit St.) is adding dinner hours starting Thursday. Dan and Caroline Kraus’ eatery will stay open until 8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
Core Life Eatery will celebrate the grand opening of its Lennox location on June 29 at 1791 Olentangy River Road, formerly occupied by Johnny Rockets and Cup O’ Joe. The fast-casual chain, which is focused on healthful menu items like salads, grain bowls and soups, opened its first Central Ohio location in Polaris in 2016.
Piada Italian Street Food is offering a limited-run “Breakfast for Lunch” menu at two locations starting Saturday, June 16. The Piada stores at 2585 E. Main St. in Bexley and 1315 W. Lane Ave. in Upper Arlington will offer items like a Breakfast Power Bowls and Breakfast Piadas through July 15.
Cap City Fine Diner’s Grandview location is closed for remodeling. Look for it to reopen in August.
Clean Juice is now open in Westerville at 665 Worthington Road.
