Each week, we feature a couple from our latest issue.
I can say from personal experience that there’s something special about decorating your wedding venue with your spouse-to-be and family members the night or morning before your wedding. So when we received photos from Karah and Robert’s Cundiff, I scrolled through their “getting ready” photos with great fondness.
The rest of the event gave our staff the warm fuzzies, too—how could it not? A charming, intimate ceremony in a pine-wood forest; a French country vibe that was at once elegant and rustic; a nontraditional dress; private niches throughout the space to have one-on-one conversation … I’m grinning from ear to ear just thinking about it.
The Cundiffs’ backstory is equally cute: They met on a blind date at a haunted house. “Both of us were so caught up in adventuring the grounds that we forgot to get scared,” Karah says. “We have been exploring ever since!” Even their proposal is almost too sweet to believe. They were sharing a “cheap bottle of wine” and discussing their next trip (to Washington, D.C.), Karah explains. “He just blurted out, ‘Marry me?’ We both laughed and I think I blubbered out an ‘of course.’ ”
