Each week, we feature a couple from our latest issue.

College sweethearts Emily and Zack Stivers have been together now for nearly a decade; though yesterday was only the second anniversary of their wedding. And while they dated for several years after mutual friends introduced them during undergrad, they said “we do” just 11 short months after Zack popped the question during a family Secret Santa gift exchange in December 2014.

Their wedding, which carried an antique theme, featured a number of personal and aesthetic touches—like using window frames to display relatives’ wedding portraits on their gift table. And while the event certainly was beautiful and full of love, Emily says her favorite part was “spending the reception surrounded by family and friends.”
