New boutiques continue to open in the hip stretch of High Street.
The Short North strip, on High Street just north of Downtown, continues to be
a burgeoning shopping district with new boutiques regularly opening. Following is a fresh guide to shopping there.
Anthropologie | 625 N. High St.
Boho-chic styles such as flared denim are paired with peasant blouses reminiscent of the '70s. Skinny belts and platform shoes put shoppers in a '40s frame of mind.
A selection of working-girl clothes and home accessories makes this store well worth the trip.
Artisan Deluxe | 761 N. High St.
This shop is among only a handful in the world to carry Moussy, a premier Japanese denim brand. Top-sellers also include Citizens of Humanity and Killa's. Stand-out items include women's bell-sleeved hoodies and fringed pants.
Chunky Armadillo | 726 N. High St.
Chunky Armadillo offers farm girl-inspired urban clothing. Bandana-pattern dusters, camouflage jackets and tie-dye styles are a fresh take on Texas-inspired fashion. Locally-made gifts round out the modern, wild-hearted vibe.
Clothe Ohio | 867 N. High St.
Clothe Ohio features styles for all genders to show off Buckeye pride and this retailer has a charity spin, donating items to Ohioans in need.
Clover on High | 636 N. High St.
Brick walls and upbeat music give this boutique a classy, but trendy, vibe that mirrors the garments on the racks. Midi-length dresses and wide-leg pants are just a few of the bestsellers here.
Tigertree | 787 N. High St.
Tigertree brings beachy vibes to the Short North this summer. Bright prints and chic accessories pop against the shop's yellow walls.
Flower Child | 233 E. Fifth Ave.
Nooks and crannies in this vintage shop boast clothing from 1930 to 1980, plus an assortment of kitchenware, furniture and art.
Torso | 772 N. High St.
While many Short North shops are for ladies, Torso shows off a huge selection of swimwear and underwear for men. This is the only retailer in Columbus to carry Maui and Sons apparel. Each month, a different artist's work is featured, too.
Rowe | 718 N. High St.
With chic and feminine women's clothing from brands like Misa, Mother Superior and Flynnskye, this shop's big jewelry selection shares the spotlight.
Global Gifts | 682 N. High St.
Shop here for fair-trade, ethically-made clothing, jewelry and home. Quilling cards and jewelry from Vietnam, as well as handmade dresses from Indonesia, are among the colorful riches here.
Vamp Official | 997 N. High St.
What began as an online boutique, Vamp Official's store style features feminine yet edgy fashions that are peppered with polka dots, stripes and lace.
Tackma | 844 N. High St.
This men's boutique launched its only store in the Short North, although the brand is available in other retailers throughout the country, and online distribution is based out of New Jersey. With its seek-no-approval mantra, this shop features old head-to-toe prints and simple, monochromatic casual wear.
