Celebrating the couples from our most recent issue on their anniversaries

We have shoutouts for three couples today, in honor of their one-year anniversaries on Saturday and Sunday. The events themselves were diverse—with vibes ranging from chic urban to woodsy natural to Bollywood fabulous—but they all had one thing in common: a beautiful love between husband and wife.

First up are Elizabeth Barry and Robert Keller, who wed on Aug. 4 last year at dock580. Many brides choose to have their father accompany them down the aisle to give them away, but Elizabeth took the idea a step further; her dad served as officiant in what Elizabeth calls a “sincere and heartfelt ceremony.” You can read more about Elizabeth and Robert in their real wedding photo gallery here.

That same day, Kya and Michael Knorr tied the knot in an intimate outdoor ceremony at the Grand Barn at the Mohicans. The ceremony featured “a whole lotta love,” says Kya, and a barbecue dinner catered by Hoggy’s completed the day’s rustic barn aesthetic. We’d tell you more, but Kya and Michael will be the stars of a Real Wedding Wednesday post later this fall, and we don’t want to spoil it!

The final couple in our list today, Navya Parsa and Navin Muni, threw a traditional, multiday Hindu ceremony and reception … though they threw some Western elements into the latter, to great effect. Their official wedding day was Aug. 5; you can read all about it (and see the beautiful, colorful images captured by their photographers) in last week’s Real Wedding Wednesday post here.
