Highlighting couples' favorite images from their wedding days
For many brides, the old adage of rain bringing good luck may be a weak consolation when plans for an outdoor ceremony or photo shoot need to be changed. For Emily Cutright Kopco, who wed Jeff Kopco on Sept. 2, 2017, the threat of rain definitely created some stress. After planning a backyard wedding for a full year, the 100 percent chance of rain in the forecast had the soon-to-be-weds scrambling for a backup plan. “Nothing went as planned, and it turned out to be the best day of our lives,” Emily says about the big day itself.
She and Jeff found a suitable Plan-B venue just three days before the wedding, and the dreaded rain ended up producing something Emily couldn’t have predicted: her favorite wedding-day photo.
“I love this photo because it shows that no matter what the weather brings, we still are so happy to be together and in love,” she says. “I feel like most brides are so scared of rain on their wedding day, yet we ran in the rain and had a blast!”
