Concert at Faith United Methodist

"Ezekiel’s Call" will be in concert Sunday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. at Cambridge Faith United Methodist, 500 S. 7th St. Come, enjoy the sights of the season and the sounds of the good news during the free concert. A fellowship time will be offered after the concert, and a freewill offering will be received for the group.

New pastor

The Mt. Zion Lutheran Church welcomes Pastor Ken Hacker. Services are Sundays at 10:30 a.m. The church is located at 53516 Old Infirmary Rd., Pleasant City.

A Night at Bethlehem

Byesville’s Main Avenue United Methodist Church will present "A Night at Bethlehem" on Sunday, Dec. 17, with presentations at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the journey to Bethlehem.

Antrim Mennonite Choir

The Antrim Mennonite Choir will perform on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Pleasant City Methodist Church. Light refreshments will be served following.

Candle-lite services

Candle-lite services at Middlebourne Church on Saturday, Dec. 9. Carry-in dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 7 p.m. Special music by Gerald Warner and the message will be given by Pastor Sarah Lowden. All are welcome.

Christmas tea and scones

First Presbyterian Church is hosting a Christmas Tea & Scones Scarf Party on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Come, and enjoy scrumptious goodies and get in the Christmas Spirit! Shop for silk Infinity scarves that are handmade by women of Northern Pakistan. Proceeds go to Shining Light International, a Mission project that empowers oppressed communities in Northern Pakistan through education.

Christ United Methodist Church

Christ United Methodist Church will have breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 10, Sunday School for all ages at 9:15 a.m. and worship at 10:15 a.m. with Pastor Sturman Moore bringing the message. Nursery is available both morning services.  Evening service will be at 6 p.m. with Pastor Mark Slay from Kennonsburg U.M. church bringing the message. Looking ahead; the Adult Choir Cantata will be Sunday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. The choir is under the direction of Mrs. Cheryl Todd and is entitled "The Story of Christmas." Come and hear the choir share their faith in music at this most wonderful, blessed, time of the year. Come early to get a seat. Blessed be the Lord.

Freeport Church cookie sale

There will be a Christmas cookie bake sale on Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Freeport United Methodist Church. Homemade cookies are $3 per dozen and homemade candies are $3 per bag. A breakfast and lunch stand will be available. There will be Christmas crafts for sale, also.

Calvary Baptist Christmas Cantata

Calvary Baptist Church Choir will present its annual Christmas Cantata "How Should A King Come?" on Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. Anyone and everyone is invited to come this night and have a great time of fellowship. Calvary Baptist Church is located at 245 S. Sixth St., Byesville.

Rix Mills Presbyterian Church

Worship service at Rix Mills Presbyterian Church is at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Jim Gibson will present the message: ""Get An Attitude." Everyone is welcome. Sunday school for all ages is during the worship service after the children's message. Adult Sunday school is at 8:30 a.m. in the basement with Dave. Care baskets will be filled December 10 after worship service. Home Communion December 12. Christmas Program with the children will be Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Cookies and punch afterward in the basement. Buffalo-Cumberland Presbyterian Church

Worship service at Buffalo-Cumberland Presbyterian Church is at 11:15 a.m. with Pastor Jim Gibson presenting the message, ""Get An Attitude." Everyone is welcome! Vanity bags for the Haven of Hope are being packed. Please bring in items. Also, donations for the Cumberland Fire Department (cleaning supplies, etc.) are being collected.The annual Christmas Eve Service and candle lighting service will be Dec. 24 with Buddy and the "Half Way Home" gospel group and also a special guest will be with us. Quilt class is every Wednesday at the church at 9:30 a.m. Card class will be Dec. 4, 1 to 3 p.m., in the church. They will be making 10 Christmas Cards. Cost donation to the church at $10.
