Darista Dips is throwing a launch party for its new dessert hummus, Like A Girl, Like a Boss Gooey Chocolate Espresso Hummus, at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Whole Foods Market Easton. The event will include a panel discussion featuring Darista’s founder Dara Schwartz and other prominent women entrepreneurs and makers, plus samples of the new Gooey Chocolate Espresso Hummus, which is made with ingredients from women-owned and -run businesses.

Local Cantina opens tomorrow at 5 p.m. (Friday, Feb. 9) in Dublin’s Bridge Park development. This is the sixth Local Cantina location in Central Ohio for the growing restaurant group, which also owns Old Skool and South Village Grille.

Speckled Hen Market opened this week at 667 High St. in Old Worthington. Operated by the owner of Speckled Hen Farm and The Cluckwagon food truck, the specialty market offers antibiotic- and hormone-free poultry and locally made provisions.

Sunrise International Market is now open at 4030 W. Broad St. across from Hollywood Casino.

The Dublin Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched a Celtic Cocktail Trail featuring cocktails and food at 11 trail stops, including 101 Beer Kitchen, Vaso Rooftop Lounge, J. Liu, Bogey Inn and more. Go to visitdublinohio.com for more information.

Little Eater’s Clintonville location will begin offering Ohio-brewed beers starting Friday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. The vegetable-focused restaurant will also offer a daily happy hour (called “social hours”) from 3-6 p.m. with shareable snacks and beer specials. 

Culinary historian and James Beard Award winner Adrian Miller will visit the Grandview Yard Giant Eagle Market District for a cooking demonstration and book signing at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. In 2014, Miller won a James Beard Foundation Book Award for his book “Soul Food: The Surprising Story of an American Cuisine, One Plate at a Time.”

Tickets are still available for the North Market’s Mix & Shake event, taking place 7:30-10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17. Held in partnership with the Ohio Distiller's Guild, the event will feature spirits from more than 10 Ohio distilleries, food from North Market vendors and a speakeasy inside Hot Chicken Takeover.

The Daily Growler German Village is partnering with Watershed Distillery on a series of monthly beer cocktails. This month’s featured beer cocktail is the Stoutacino ($10), combining Watershed’s Nocino Black Walnut Liquor with stout.
