Romance rules at the Tuttle Mall store.
Lauren VanDeusen, 28, a manager
Mall at Tuttle Crossing
So despite the fact you're in the mall, you're actually locally owned. What do you sell?
A wide assortment of sexy lingerie, bath and body products, fragrant candles, massagers and spa items.
What's the price range?
Anywhere from $5 to $70. We have $5 panties all over the store. That's not something that goes away. And we have bras in the $70s. We have lines that are French and Canadian. We picked up brands that you couldn't go to your typical department store to find.
You carry a wide range of sizes from misses to plus. What styles do you offer?
We have basic bras, plunge bras, padded bras, full bras, demi bras. We have camis, teddies, corsets. We have open-cut bras. We have open-cut thongs, boy-cut bikini hipster, open panties. We have robes, lounge pants, sleepwear.
And I hear your most popular item is your lotion massage candle. Can you tell me about it?
It's a soy lotion candle. You burn it, pour it and rub it. And the wax turns into a smooth massage oil. And it's in six different scents.
Would you tell people about your private parties, which are free?
They are right when the store closes. They usually run about an hour and a half. The women can invite however many friends. They come in and bring food and drink-as long as they're of age. And then the store is theirs.
Your biggest surprise, you say, is the popularity of the "sexy" items-including garters and thigh-highs.
Yeah! That stuff is fun. We've just seen that people want the sexy items in a comfortable, relaxing (place).
