The Columbus Park of Roses wants you to "Stop and Smell the Roses" this weekend.
The free event, planned for Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., shows off the 11,500 roses in peak bloom in Whetstone Park (3923 N. High St.). It also features fun family activities: guided garden tours, live music, trolley rides and concessions.
Catch a glimpse of artists from the Ohio Plein Air Society and Oil Painters of America, who will be painting throughout the gardens. Or stop by the park's shelter house on Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. to view the Columbus Rose Club's rose annual exhibition. For more info, visit www.parkofroses.org. --Dana Wilson
