Gallerie Bar & Bistro and Executive Chef Bill Glover will once again host some of the region's top chefs when the James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef Tour dinner returns to Gallerie for the third time on Thursday, May 12. Some of the local participating chefs include Josh Dalton, Andrew Smith, Avishar Barua, Seth Lassak and Marcus Meacham. The eight-course dinner will be preceded by a cocktail hour featuring the creations of Travis Owens of Curio at Harvest. Tickets are $110-$170 each and are available

Condado Tacos will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with the opening of its second location. The build-your-own taco joint will open in the Highpoint building on Columbus Commons at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5.

Starliner Diner is leaving its current location after 21 years and moving into the old post office building at 4121 Main Street in Hilliard. "It's a charming space," says owner Molly Mahoney, who expects to make the move in mid- to late May. The quirky diner is moving from its current spot at Cemetery Road and Franklin Street to make way for a mixed-use development. The new 3,300-square-foot space will also include a big front patio.

The family behind Red Velvet Café has announced it will be opening Bonifacio, a modern Filipino restaurant in Grandview's Fifth by Northwest area. More details to come at

The Central Ohio Food Truck Association (COFTA) is hosting its first "Food + Science Fest" 12-10 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 in Genoa Park. Hosted in partnership with COSI, the free event will feature 20 local food trucks, craft beers, local music and kids activities along the newly renovated Scioto Greenways.
